The first concert I ever went to was the Smashing Pumpkins at the Moore Theatre in Seattle, February 1996. At the time, the band was the sun and the moon to me and by luck and careful planning, my friend and I (a fellow Pumpkinhead), not only managed to hold down spots at the barricade during the show (not a small task considering we were barely 15 and they played some pretty metal songs like X.Y.U), but saw Billy Corgan and Courtney Love (twice — and he laughed at me. Long but awesome story), James Iha and we got to meet a drunk Jimmy Chamberlain.
Ever since then, I was hooked on live music. Still am.
The following is a list of links to some of the most memorable concerts I have reviewed. They do not represent all the shows I’ve reviewed, nor do they represent every concert I’ve seen (that would be far too large to measure) but you get the idea.
